Liverpool’s leading scorer, Mohamed Salah, was named on the bench for Thursday’s Europa League last-16 encounter with Sparta Prague after missing the last four matches with a hamstring injury.

Salah gave the Reds an initial boost when he returned to training on Wednesday.

He should now have a decent shot of playing in Sunday’s Premier League title clash against Manchester City, who are one point behind Liverpool in second.

The Egyptian’s last appearance had come off the bench in a 4-1 win over Brentford on Feb. 17. But Liverpool fared well in his absence, beating Luton Town and Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, Chelsea in the League Cup final, and Southampton in the FA Cup fifth round.

Salah initially suffered the injury while representing his country at the Africa Cup of Nations.

He’s scored 19 goals for Liverpool in 28 matches across all competitions this season.
