According to The Sun, the 25-year-old was driving down a wet country lane near Knutsford, Cheshire, when a 40ft electricity pole was uprooted.

It has been said that the 21-cap England international swerved and slammed on his brakes, with the pylon hitting the car in front of him.

The Reds academy graduate was then powerless to avoid hitting the oncoming vehicle.

Thankfully, both men avoided any serious injuries, with Alexander-Arnold ‘shaken’ by the incident.

A source told the news outlet : “The wind was so powerful it suddenly ripped up the pylon.

“It was really terrifying. It’s a miracle nobody was hurt. Someone could have easily been killed.

“What are the chances of that happening? Alexander-Arnold must feel like he’s cheated death.

“A few seconds later and it could have gone through his windscreen. It’s absolutely treacherous out there.”
