Marc Albrighton may be a Leicester legend, but some of his teammates have a bone to pick with him.
The winger has been with the Foxes since 2014, winning the Premier League and FA Cup in one of football’s greatest fairy tales.
Many of Albrighton’s teammates left off the back of their extraordinary 2016 title win, with Riyad Mahrez and N’Golo Kante heading off to pastures new, but Albrighton stuck around to further his status.
Such a status earned him a top role in the Leicester dressing room of dishing out the players’ penalty fines, but that temporarily ended with a loan move to West Brom last season.
He didn’t, though, return the cash, as James Maddison rather amusingly revealed on Sky’s A League of Their Own.
Playing for the Foxes up until his summer move to Tottenham, Maddison explained how the money went missing at the King Power last season.

Discussing club fines, he said: “Normally it goes into a kitty for a night out at Christmas or something.
“At Leicester last year Marc Albrighton was looking after it and then he went on loan in January to West Brom and took it with him so we never got a night out.”
Then pointing at the camera, the England midfielder joked: “He’ll be watching as well, we want that!”
With Leicester flying-high in the Championship this season, a party is definitely on the cards this Christmas – but let’s hope Albrighton isn’t sent out on loan again.
