The wrestling giants are set to go all out for the 37th edition of their second oldest annual event behind flagship show WrestleMania.

It has the coveted slot of being the last of WWE’s ‘Big Five’ events of each year to be put on after ‘Mania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, and Money in the Bank.

Survivor Series was historically focused around the concept of brand supremacy between RAW, SmackDown and later NXT.

But WWE’s head of creative Triple H rebranded the event last year to instead feature two WarGames matches for men and women.

The success of the signature match type, which typically involves two teams locked inside a specialised steel cage that fits two adjoining rings placed side by side, has seen it return this year.

TNT Sports Box Office will show the event on UK TV, with their coverage starting at 1am on Sunday morning and more details can be found here.

It will also be live streamed on the WWE Network – it costs £9.99 per month for subscribers, and can be cancelled at any time.

Survivor Series 2023: What has been said?

Triple H was keen to hype up the introduction of a War Games match finding its home at Survivor Series last year.

He said in an interview with The Ringer: “The tradition of Survivor Series has ebbed and flowed and changed slightly over time, but this will be similar to that.

“This will not be Raw vs. SmackDown.

“It will be much more story-line driven. I still look at it as a traditional component to Survivor Series in there because it’s large teams of people competing.

“We just upped the ante a little bit with War Games and made it evolve.”
