Newcastle betting tips

3.37: La Pulga 6/1 each-way (1pt)

La Pulga already has 21 runs under his belt and only four wins and a handful of places.

But he moved into the all-weather for the first time, while also dropping from around 2m to 1m4f at Newcastle in early October.

And that really seemed to prompt form of old and he’s still weighted well if he can improve on that on his second try on this track and surface.

He was in the Coral Summer Handicap at a big each-way price earlier this year and seemed to drop out of form in those big Class 2 handicaps on the turf.

But prior to that did well on faster ground under Joe Fanning and was even 3lb higher.

Could be some untapped potential here with a strong second to Vaguely Royal while also placing ahead of the 91-rated three-year-old Concorde.

5.18: Snash 10/3 (1pt)

Razeyna has a tough job of defying top-weight, and by quite some margin too.

The William Haggas-trained filly is favourite despite that though, on her third attempt on the artificial surface.

Whereas this will be Asadjumeirah’s 22nd run on the all-weather in total and 49th career run.

He was fifth over course and distance last time out to Snash, who is likely to go off joint-favourite with Razeyna, but there’s a big shift in the weights that can help this experienced runner get his head in front again off what is still a dangerous weight.

He is winless since April 2022 though, which spans as many as 31 races since his last trip in the winners’ enclosure in that short amount of time.

Snash made the most of a drop in the weights on his fourth start on the AW and that seems to be a big difference in performance which suggests he is well handicapped if continuing to relish the surface.

Kempton betting tips

5.30: Musical Act 11/8 (1pt)

Disappointed on turf on his debut in July, which was soft ground, but clearly something amiss that day.

Confirmed his potential when winning here a month later though and this Dark Angel grey gelding should have more to offer back from a short break as he won over 7f well, looking suited to a step up to 1m.

6.30: Chifa 11/4 (1pt)

Has Liam Wright on board again, which will take off another 7lb to help with the 2lb rise from a great second place effort here on the 6th November.

Could have won too under David Probert over C&D had he not been slightly hampered on the run in, but that run looked strong to suggest the grey gelding will give it another big run and might be suited to this track that he’s only raced on once since 2021.
