Jason Knight is almost unrecognisable after being knocked out in less than two minutes during his debut in bare-knuckle mixed martial arts.
On Friday night, the 31-year-old squared off against fellow UFC veteran Randy Costa on a card promoted by former BMF champion Jorge Masvidal.
The usually tough American landed a few punches of his own but was simply overwhelmed by Costa’s combinations and precision as he was wiped out in just 101 seconds.
Post-fight, Knight took to social media to react to his latest loss, but it was the picture that accompanied his post that caused a stir among his followers.
The man who holds wins over Dan Hooker, Artem Lobev, and Thiago Moises, was almost recognisable as his face was swollen and covered in blood.
Fans flooded his comment section to commend him for a brave performance.

UFC commentator Jon Anik said: “Warrior. Respect always.”
Someone else added: “You’re a legend bro, as game as they come.”
A third person wrote: “Respect mate, went out on your shield, never in a boring fight!”
The following day Knight returned to Instagram looking a lot healthier as he sent a message to everyone who had wished him well after his worrying initial post.
He captioned the post: “I just want to say, thank you for all of the love and support that everyone has showed no way in hell will I ever get a chance to reply to everyone but all the love is very much appreciated,”
“Head held high. I went out on my shield as always!! Jorge Masvidal thank you for the opportunity! Randy Costa f*** you very much. Good job last night buddy enjoy your victory you definitely earned it!!”
Costa replied: “Hahah. You’re the man Jason.
“Class act brother. Was a fan before and will forever be a fan going forward. Speedy recovery and sending all the love to you and yours. Was an honor bro…”
Knights’ future in the sport appears to be uncertain after such a brutal loss.
Only one thing is for sure, he’s got a long and painful recovery process to go through before he can even consider returning to the cage for another scrap.
