Fans were waxing lyrical over Dejan Kulusevski’s ‘naughty’ piece of skill as Tottenham took an early lead against Wolves.

Tottenham star Brennan Johnson netted after just three minutes after a fine low cross from Pedro Porro.

But it was Kulusevski’s lovely backheel that released the Spaniard down the right-hand side and fans could not get enough.

One fan said on social media: “What a goal spurs. naughty from Kulusevski.”

Another wrote: “That was Kulusevski’s goal. That pass was the goal. What a ball.”

While a third said: “Kulusevski, my word. That is filthy.”

Tottenham are in need of a decent response after losing their unbeaten streak in the Premier League on Monday night.

In a wild 4-1 defeat at home to Chelsea, Spurs lost their position at the top of the table.

They also lost Destiny Udogie and Cristian Romero to red cards, leaving them with nine men against the Blues, who went on to take advantage with three second-half goals.

Kulusevski, who scored Tottenham’s opening goal against Chelsea in the sixth minute on Monday night, looks like he is still on top form bright and early on Saturday afternoon.

There were question marks over how Ange Postecoglou’s men would react to their first defeat of the season.

Especially after losing Micky van de Ven and James Maddison to injury and some have looked at whether Tottenham have the squad depth.

However, Postecoglou has proved he will not change his tactics – even down to nine men – and it has proved effective in the early stages against Wolves.

Three points on Saturday will move Spurs back to the top of the Premier Leauge.

At least until Sunday, when Manchester City have the chance to overtake them as they travel to London to face Chelsea.
